About Lauren
Lauren has developed a strong foundation in advocacy and client care through her work in family law and the witness support service at Winchester Crown Court.
Her experience supporting clients through emotionally charged situations and observing complex trials has given her valuable insight into the realities of the criminal justice system. She brings a calm, thorough, and compassionate approach to her work, ensuring that every client feels heard, supported, and fairly represented.
Approach to the work
Lauren approaches her work with meticulous attention to detail and a deep commitment to fairness. She is motivated to advocate for the rights of clients who are often facing some of the most vulnerable and uncertain moments of their lives.
With a clear understanding that the criminal justice system can be marked by imbalance and injustice, Lauren is driven to ensure her clients do not fall victim to those flaws. She treats every client with respect and sensitivity, dedicating time and focus to analysing evidence and preparing each case thoroughly. Throughout the process, she keeps her clients updated and supported, recognising the importance of reassurance and communication in reducing anxiety during difficult proceedings.
Education
Lauren was raised in Winchester and studied at Kings’ School Winchester and Peter Symonds College before completing a BA in English Literature in The University of Surrey and a Master’s in Law at the University of Law, graduating with High Commendation for her dissertation on youth sentencing reform.
She gained practical experience as a volunteer at The University of Law’s Family Law Advice Clinic, providing free legal guidance under solicitor supervision, and at the Witness Support Service at Winchester Crown Court, supporting witnesses and families through trial proceedings.
As a member of SpeedMooting.com, she regularly developed her advocacy and courtroom skills alongside legal professionals.
Outside the law
Lauren enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling, and being outdoors. She is a certified Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver with a keen interest in exploration and the natural world. She is also passionate about the arts, with formal training in theatre, singing, and piano.
