Case study summary

The client approached us whilst under investigation for very serious offences where the complainant was left with life threatening wounds. The client was unhappy with his previous legal team due to the lack of progress and instructed us to take a proactive approach with his case

Case study

We were approached by a 15-year-old who was under investigation for attempted murder and organised crime activity relating to drugs. The allegations were that he and a number of other suspects were involved in county lines drug offences and had stabbed a man numerous times, leaving him with life threatening injuries.

As soon as we came onboard, we immediately placed pressure on the officers to provide us with as much information as they had and the reasons for the restrictive bail conditions. Our client had a very strict curfew condition which left him very little time to socialise with his friends and family after he finished college. We continued to press this point with the police until they had no choice but to get back to us.

After weeks of applying this pressure, we were informed by the police that our client would no longer be subject to these bail conditions as the police would be taking no further action in relation to our client. We believe this is down to our persistence and regular demand for updates which the client did not receive from his previous legal team.

The client was beyond grateful for our work and said that he was finally able to get on with his life. He told us that he was looking forward to getting back into education and focusing on his future.
