About Tasneem

Tasneem Amlesh advises in serious criminal matters, with a growing focus on fraud. She is currently instructed in complex proceedings, including the Patisserie Valerie case, and brings a principled and rigorous approach to her work—especially where due process or vulnerable individuals are at stake.

She is fluent in Arabic and Amazigh (Berber), in addition to English, and brings a unique international perspective to her practice, particularly when supporting clients from marginalised or displaced backgrounds. She was raised in Cheshire and educated at Sandbach High School.

Education

Tasneem graduated with an LLB in Law from the University of Sheffield, where she was awarded the Eve Cohen Criminal Evidence Award for the highest academic performance in criminal evidence and entrapment. During her degree, she elected modules on gender and crime, restorative justice, rehabilitation of offenders, advanced criminal law, and criminal process.

She has passed both SQE1 and SQE2.

Approach to the work

Tasneem's practice is grounded in empathy, diligence, and a commitment to procedural fairness. She believes miscarriages of justice often arise from neglected safeguards at arrest, charge, and trial. Her preparation reflects this—combining sensitivity with rigorous evidence review and clear client communication throughout the case.
