Case study summary
Our client was accused, arrested, and interviewed on suspicion of Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm. We represented him at the interview as duty solicitors following this arrest. The case later received No Further Action from the police.
Case study
Our client was accused of assaulting his son with the assistance of his other son.
We attended the police station with our client as duty solicitors after he exercised his right to legal representation. At the police station we engaged with the officer in charge of the case and obtained the disclosure necessary to fully advise our client of the case against him.
We then took a detailed account from our client and could see that this case was not as simple as the police had suggested that it was.
Our client made it clear that he had acted in self-defence and in defence of his family and this is why he acted as he did.
This was put to the police by our expert lawyers and as a result our client's case received No Further Action. This meant our client could continue living as a free man without this case hanging over him.
