Case study summary
Our client was a mother of two who was shocked after her son’s former partner accused her of witness intimidation. Our specialist criminal lawyers used the correct approach in the police interview to get this case quickly dropped.
Case study
Our client’s oldest son was being accused of domestic offences by his former partner. Our client was not involved in the case. She was shocked after the former partner also accused her of making threats.
All of the contact that she had with her son’s former partner was to arrange childcare – the text messages and nature of all contact and correspondence easily support his.
During the interview, our specialist criminal defence lawyers read out a statement that they had written with our client. This clearly set out our client’s defence without exposing the client to police interview tactics.
The police quickly dropped the case. Our client was very relived and she will use third parties to arrange child contact in future to protect herself against false allegations. She is enjoying spending time with her grandchild.
