Case study summary
Our client was charged with assaulting a police officer and approached us for representation.
We engaged with the evidence in the case and provided her with expert advice on the situation. After preparing her case, we represented her at court and secured a conditional discharge.
Case study
Our client was arrested for causing a disturbance. During the arrest, she had lashed out at a police officer because she was scared and upset. Our client was struggling with her mental health at the time but, despite the officer sustaining no lasting harm, and our client's condition at the time, she was charged with assaulting a police officer.
We advised her on the evidence against her and took time to prepare careful mitigation to advance her case. We also provided advice on Pre-Sentence Reports and the effect they would have on the case.
The result was that our client received a conditional discharge and a small fine. She was then able to return home and move on with her life.
