Robert attended Lancaster University and has both undergraduate and Masters qualifications in law. He defends regularly in complex fraud cases and serious criminal allegations. He works closely together with clients and colleagues to make sure that the best possible case is put forward, and the best result is achieved.

About Robert
Robert has been with the firm since March 2022 and is based at our head office in Salford but represents clients throughout England and Wales. Robert defends clients in all areas of criminal defence, covering the police investigation stage right through to the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court. His caseload primarily consists of sexual and drug offences.
Education
Robert was raised in Cheshire before going on to get his Undergraduate with Masters degree in Law from Lancaster University.
Approach to the work
Robert’s approach to the work is that every client deserves a thoroughly prepared lawyer looking after their best interests. This means that he focuses on preparing cases and analysing every scrap of evidence to work towards the best outcome for his clients, whether it’s preparing for a trial or mitigation ahead of a sentencing.

Outside the law
Outside of the job and in his spare time Robert enjoys sports, in particular running and swimming.
Practice areas
Robert defends in all serious crime with a particular focus on sexual and drug offences. He regularly instructs expert witnesses to prepare reports to assist with the preparation of their case.
Sexual Offences
Robert’s case load is primarily made up of representing clients accused of serious sexual offences including rape and historical offences. These tend to involve elderly clients facing allegations from decades ago.
Drug Offences
Robert represents clients accused of serious drug offences such as possession with intent to supply. These cases tend to involve multiple defendants and Class A drugs.
Serious Crime
The remainder of Robert’s caseload is made up of serious general crime. This includes fraud, harassment and violent offences which often include the instruction of experts to provide reports on his vulnerable clients’ mental health problems.
