Case study
This client approached our firm for the second time after he was the target of malicious allegations of harassment.
We attended the police station with our client only to find that the investigating officer intended to arrest our client so that he could put bail conditions on him.
Following the interview, our client was released on bail not to contact the alleged complainant. Over the coming days it became clear that the complainant intended to use the bail conditions to continue their harassment and abuse of our client by calling emergency services repeatedly and without reason.
We wrote to the police to report this behaviour and reiterated that our client was the victim, not the harasser.
The police finally had no choice but to accept that they were wrong and took no further action against our client.
