This is the biggest false accounting conspiracy in the modern era. The scandal was a major blow to pension funds, and affected the worldwide standing of auditors Grant Thornton. Celebrity CEO and Sunday Times business columnist Luke Johnson distanced himself from the collapse, and has avoided charge.
