Case study summary

Our client was accused of touching the bottoms of two teenagers at a family music festival. Having attended with his wife and child, our client was shocked and denied the allegations. We gave expert advice to our client throughout and rightfully the police took no further action.

Case study

We were contacted by our client after he was interviewed in relation to allegations of sexual assault. Being a family man, he was devastated to find out he had been accused of sexually assaulting two teenagers at a festival he went to with his wife and young child. Once instructed, we took detailed instructions from our client about what he had done each day of the festival. What was clear was that he certainly had not sexually assaulted anyone.

As part of the investigation, the police wanted to create a video of various male faces to see if the teenagers could pick out our client. We attended with our client and gave him clear advice on how the video should be put together. We worked closely with the police to ensure they followed the strict guidance on these compilations.

Following the video compilation, we remained in close communication with the police to ensure the reality of the situation came to light. Thankfully for our client, it did and no further action was taken. This allowed our client to continue being the family man he was and importantly meant he remains of good character.
