Case study summary

Our client was accused of pushing his wife out of their house following an argument. He denied the allegation. We provided our expert advice for the interview and the police released our client with no further action to be taken against him.

Case study

Our client was a husband and father to three children. In April 2023, he was accused of grabbing his wife by the shoulders and pushing her out of their home following an argument.

Our client asked us to attend the police station to represent him. One of our expert assault lawyers attended the police station and complete pre-interview disclosure with the officer in charge of the case. The officer confirmed that our client's wife had provided a witness statement and she supported the prosecution of her husband.

Our lawyer discussed the allegation with our client who denied the allegation. He explained that during an argument, his wife began to scream in his face. In order to de-escalate the situation, he shut the door to separate them.

We provided our legal advice for the police interview and following the interview, the police confirmed that they would be taking no further action against our client. He was relieved and looked forward to moving abroad and re-starting his life.
