Our specialist criminal defence solicitors were instructed to represent a man who had been arrested by the police. He was accused of supplying class B drugs.

The police had searched his house and seized multiple weapons (including knifes and firearms), large amounts of cannabis, and thousands of pounds in cash.

The police found three men in the address and arrested all of them. The majority of the items were found in our client’s brothers bedroom but some had been concealed in communal areas as well.

Our client explained to us that he had no knowledge of these items been stored at his home address.

The difficulty was that the police were at a very early stage of their investigation and they had a lot of outstanding enquires to make. As a result, we believed that the correct tactical decision was for our client to make no comment whilst there was a question mark over so much of the evidence.

As further evidence came to light it was clear that it pointed away from our client. This left the police with no chose but to drop the case.

Our client was very relieved that the case has resolved and that he will not be facing a criminal prosecution.
