Our client was a 28-year-old mechanic. In March 2023, he was accused of being concerned in the supply of drugs after his flat mate was accused of being a supplier of cocaine and cannabis across Manchester.
Our client instructed us to attend the police station and represent him at his voluntary interview. One of our expert lawyers attended the interview and discussed the investigation with the officer in charge of the case. Our lawyer challenged the evidence and was able to ascertain that our client's only link to the wider investigation into an organised crime group who sold drugs across Manchester was that he shared a flat with one of their suspected members.
Our client denied the allegation and confirmed that he had no knowledge of his flatmate's involvement in the supply of drugs. He confirmed that he had moved out of the flat and now lived with his fiancée.
