Frequently asked questions
Do I need an appointment to see you?
To meet with one of our criminal solicitors in Birmingham you do need to call us to make an appointment. This way we can make sure the right lawyer is available to see you. We can usually make an appointment for an in-person meeting within 24 hours. If you need to see us urgently, we can usually set up a same-day secure videocall with one of our defence lawyers.
What's the best way to come by car and is there parking?
The Jewellery Quarter is easily accessible by car on Birmingham centre's road network, via the A41 from West Bromwich, the A38 Aston Expressway and the A4540 Birmingham Ring Road. Please be aware that to enter Birmingham by car you may need to pay the £8 Clean Air Zone charge unless your car is a low emission or electric car. On Spencer Street outside our office building, there is on-street paid parking, but there is cheaper parking 200 metres away in the Jewellery Quarter Multi Storey (Postcode is B18 6LP).
Which courts or police stations are nearby?
Our Birmingham office is within easy reach of Birmingham Magistrates' Court and the Crown Court. It's also near to the various Birmingham Police Stations, including Steelhouse Lane, Oldbury, and of course the West Midlands Police Custody Suite at Perry Barr where we regularly successfully represent clients accused of serious offences.
Do you have waiting room, reception and meeting facilities?
Clients at our Birmingham office are always warmly welcomed by the reception staff and invited to take a seat in the stunning Jewellery Business Centre waiting area. We will usually use one of the boardrooms for meeting new clients. Everything is accessible by wheelchair.
What are the local public transport links?
The Jewellery Quarter Railway Station is a three-minute walk from our office. Line 1 of the Midland Metro passes through here, as do trains on the Snow Hill to Worcester line and the London to Kidderminster line.
The number 8C bus also stops at the Jewellery Quarter Railway Station.
Number 16 and 74 buses stop nearby on Vyse Street.
Birmingham New Street Station is around a 25-minute walk and less than 10 minutes in a taxi.
