Client Avoids Prison for Distributing Indecent Images

Our client has been charged with possessing and distributing indecent images. He was terrified about the prospect of going to prison and instructed our specialist indecent image lawyers to represent him.

Our client had been suffering with his mental health during the lockdown and had developed a pornography addiction which had gotten out of hand and led him to view images of this nature. He fully accepted that what he had done was wrong but wanted to make sure he had the best chance of staying out of prison so that he could continue to provide for his family.

We put together detailed mitigation on his behalf and instructed an expert barrister to represent him at court. We were able to convey to the court that our client had made an huge error but that this was not behaviour that would be repeated. Ultimately, we were able to persuade the court to give our client a suspended sentence, meaning that he avoided prison and could continue to provide for his family.
