Jonathan joined the firm in 2025 and is based at our head office in Salford. He represents clients across England and Wales and regularly attends police stations. His work covers a wide range of criminal defence matters, including sexual offences and serious fraud. Jonathan has particular expertise in pre-charge representation, including detailed written representations to the police and Crown Prosecution Service.
Education
Jonathan studied Law with French (LLB) at the University of Sheffield, including a year at the University of Paris Sud XI.
Approach to the work
Jonathan takes time to understand all the circumstances of a case. He spends time with clients to build a detailed understanding of their situation and present their case effectively to the police and courts.

Outside the law
Jonathan is a Youth Justice Panel member for Manchester City Council and mentors young people involved in the criminal justice system. He regularly competes in jiu-jitsu competitions across the UK and is a youth coach at Burnage Community Wrestling Club. In 2020, he completed a 12-day solo cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats for the Keframa School Build charity in Uganda.
