Our client accepted that she had drunk way over the prescribed limited. She was in a period of turmoil at the time and had gone through the difficult breakdown of her marriage, suffering with alcohol addiction and chronic loneliness as a result.

The charge related to an evening where she had been alone in the pub. In a serious lapse in judgment, she then decided to drive to a local fast food chain. Two police officers then pulled her over. She admitted she had been drinking alcohol and was subsequently found to be over the limit.

We prepared an extensive package of mitigation for the court, throwing all of our efforts into reducing her disqualification period as much as possible. The court were persuaded by the mitigation we provided and disqualified her from driving for 10 months, far lower than the average sentence for drink driving.
